It’s been more than a year since Brent Faiyaz released the critically acclaimed EP Fuck The World. The EP contained ten tracks, and it’s still receiving spins years after it was released. One of the standout cuts on the project was “Let Me Know,” featuring production by Jonathan Wells, Los Hendrix, D.Phelps, and JEHREEUS focused on focusing on self-love prior to engaging in relationships with others, as well as other socially relevant topics:

In the week leading up to this release, fans are able to enjoy an animated video for “Let Me Know” created by Wells and Vortex. After looking in a mirror, Faiyaz lights up a joint and runs to the store. The show is marked by viewers noticing that everyone around Faiyaz looks like a ghost, and they react in varying degrees towards the Maryland singer throughout the show. At one point, he is even running from armed policemen. The world seems to return to “normal” once he puts it on after returning home and finding a mask of his own.

Presently, Faiyaz is working on a new album as the follow-up to his 2017 album Sonder Son. The upcoming release is expected to be called Make It Out Alive and may or may not include recent releases such as “Wasting Time” featuring Drake and “Gravity,” “Dead Man Walking” featuring DJ Dahi and The Creator, Tyler, “Mercedes.”
