A new video marks the 10th anniversary of Echoes of Silence by The Weeknd

This fourth quarter has been a very amazing one for The Weeknd, both nostalgic and filled with new beginnings. Earlier this year, he released the single “Poison,” a collaboration with the late Aaliyah, and he collaborated with Rosalia on “La Fama.” Last month, he also released a new video for “Die For You” from the STARBOY album, which celebrated its fifth anniversary last month.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Echoes of Silence, he makes his way back across the pond to commemorate another milestone. A stunning video created by artist Hajime Sorayama showcases the title track from his upcoming project yesterday (Dec. 21). The clip tells the tale of two robots that live in a dystopian future.

He announced the start of the potential release of his upcoming album with his recent release of the “Take My Breath” single. The mega-hit “Can’t Feel My Face” video he unveiled in September gave fans another unexpected treat. In that same week, the song’s original album Beauty Behind The Madness celebrated its 6th anniversary.

He released his latest record, After Hours, during the first quarter of 2011. This record featured fourteen tracks and a slew of accompanying visuals, in which The Weeknd appeared as a character influenced by films such as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Joker, and Casino. Additionally, the project produced some special editions, including remixes and collaborations with artists such as Chromatics, Doja Cat, Lil Uzi Vert, and Oneohtrix Point Never. The Weeknd’s album After Hours went double platinum in the United States alone, earning the artist a spot at number one on the Billboard 200, the UK’s charts, and several other charts around the world.
