Not so long ago, Afrobeats heavyweights Burna Boy and WizKid worked together on P2J’s “Ginger,” which appeared on WizKid’s critically acclaimed fourth album Made In Lagos. A few months ago, the stars reconnected for “B. D’OR,” an additional P2J-sponsored product inspired by the prestigious Ballon d’Or soccer (football) trophy:
Burna and Wizkid hoist the aforementioned trophy in a flashy new visual last week to celebrate their overall victory in “B. D’OR.” They were also spotted riding jet skis, partying on a yacht with lovely people, and sharing the stage with Kamaru Usman.
The fourth studio album by Wizkid, Made in Lagos, was released in 2020 and included 14 tracks with contributions from Skepta, Burna Boy, Tems, Damian Marley, Ella Mai, H.E.R., and more. WizKid’s debut on a major label was Sounds From The Other Side, a solid project featuring 12 cuts and contributions including Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz, Major Lazer and more. As well, Burna Boy released his fifth studio album Twice As Tall in the same year, which featured 15 tracks and features Naughty by Nature, Youssou N’Dour, Chris Martin, Sauti Sol, and Stormzy.
