New single “Shake The World” from August Alsina

This single is August Alsina’s second effort, ready to share his side with the world once again. The newest track he released, “Shake The World,” expresses the thoughts that have been on his mind over the past few months. With an ominous beat, Alsina discusses how he will obtain the respect he seeks:

The following lyrics seem to refer to Jada Pinkett-Smith and his “entanglement,” an incident that was the center of attention in 2020, and which she has since discussed on her Red Table Talk talk show: “I heard something bad was bound to happen when you have a billion dollars at the end of the elevator/ Of course some terrible things would happen if you got into a fight with the world’s favorite (Ah-ooh).”

The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy, August Alsina’s third studio album, dropped in June, containing 27 tracks with additional features from Tink, Yo Gotti, Lil Wayne, Darrel Walls, and Juicy J. Soon after, August Alsina released new videos for his album titled “NOLA,” “Pretty” and “Rounds.” In addition to the album, Alsina also released a five-part television documentary titled “The Rise of August Alsina,” in which he explains his journey through life, from his music career to his family and relationships to his battle with a chronic illness.
