New visuals by Through The Static aimed at “Peace Of Mind”

As a celebration of Valentine’s Day, Through The Static presents a new single, “Peace Of Mind,” an equally soulful track that, as explained within a press release, explores his searching for “healing” in the midst of turmoil:

This is a song about Black males trying to find their places in society. Social media and the news seem to dictate how we should live; we would all benefit from a break. “I am seeking peace of mind while navigating through life. This is about showing a more vulnerable side to myself.”

As seen in the accompanying video directed by ATU Studios, the Beat Bucha, Willy Yanez, and Amnesia James-produced video captures Through The Static enjoying dinner with a special someone played by Stacey Lashawn. Unfortunately, the conversation between the singer/producer seems to break down with the singer/producer attempting to voice his feelings about the relationship. Toward the end of the clip, he attempts to deliver flowers to Lawshawn, only to get a cold reception.

The Static further addressed the reasons for the creation of “Peace Of Mind” on social media following the release of the multi-layered track:

“This song depicts a more exposed aspect of the human condition. Navigating through the open feelings associated with social media as we learn how to live in a media driven world. There’s anxiety in everything and we’re all searching for that ‘Peace of Mind.'”

By wearing a variety of hats, Through The Static has shared the stage as well as collaborated with a range of artists, including Odd Future, Outkast, Lil B, Doja Cat, SZA, Stalley, and more. A debut album is currently in the works with actor/artist Lakeith Stanfield.
