Highbridge The Label’s very own Don Q returned at the beginning of October with a new album entitled Double Or Nothing, having taken a three-year hiatus in order to perfect his rap skills. Ten tracks comprise the album, which features a single appearance from Bronx drill rising star B-Lovee. He continued riding the wave of the project’s success by dropping visuals for cuts like “Light Today” and “Slander.”
New music from the rapper is “What Up”, his latest single. The accompanying visuals, featuring an empty New York street and an empty corner store, demonstrate his pride in New York. There is even an interpolation of 50 Cent’s “What Up Gangsta” in its hook:
The release of Double or Nothing is his first release in three years following the release of Don Season 2 in 2018. It consisted of 18 tracks and had contributions from a long list of talented artists, including Lil Durk, Dave East, 50 Cent, Jay Critch, G Herbo, Moneybagg Yo, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, A Boogie With da Hoodie, and Trap Manny. Following that release, there have been features on YXNG K.A REAPER SZN (Deluxe), Trap Season by Trap Manny, and Hoodie SZN by A Boogie With da Hoodie. The following year, Don Q released a few singles, such as “Vroom Vroom” by Trap Manny and A Boogie, “Legends” performed by Benny The Butcher, and “Flood My Wrist” by Lil Uzi Vert and A Boogie.
