It has been announced that NLE Choppa will release his second studio album Me vs. Me in January, which will include 16 tracks including the previous singles “I.Y.B.,” “Mmm Hmm,” “Jumpin” and “Final Warning,” with Polo G. Also this week, Memphis emcee dropped “Drop Shit,” a Taz Taylor, Nick Mira, Mason Wu, and Cxdy-produced track on which he raps about women, street life, etc:
No More Heroes and Jerry Morka provide a visual accompaniment for “Drop Shit,” beginning with a video of NLE Choppa performing on stage and signing autographs for fans. Following that, the episode quickly switches into heavy holiday themes, with Choppa cutting down his own tree, watching his children open presents, becoming his own Santa Claus, pulling down the photo ops with his family, and more.
The mixtape follows last year’s From Dark To Light, which featured Big Sean and Ink among its contributors. The mixtape was also notable for its positive subject matter, rather than the negativity of previous projects. As a result of his Freshman run, the XXL Freshman alum released an official debut album in 2020, Top Shotta, with Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, and Chief Keef over 20 songs.
