Pacman Da Gunman and Hit-Boy released their joint effort Bulletproof Soul in honor of late rapper Nipsey Hussle earlier this week on the third anniversary of his passing. Nine tracks are featured, with additional contributions from Dom Kennedy, B. Carr, Peezy, J Stone, and Yhung T.O. Pacman was the late Crenshaw legend’s mentor, and Hit-Boy also had a close relationship with him and often collaborated with him.
As if to maintain the momentum of the project, they dropped off the latest visual for the J Stone-assisted track, “New Heat.” Capturing Pacman soaking up a day by the pool with some gorgeous women, the newly released clip effectively captures the track’s vibe:
The drop of this track was preceded by other tracks in the burgeoning catalogue such as “Told Us No To Do It” or “Find A Balance.” As for what Hit-Boy has accomplished individually, he has been busy over the past year. Before the end of 2021, he went on tour with Nas and released the Magic album. He collaborated with Big Sean on another project prior to that, what You Expect EP, in which Lil Durk and Bryson Tiller provided assistance.
Earlier this summer, Pacman Da Gunman, who is from Los Angeles, released his Less Is More EP, which was released through Nipsey Hussle’s label All Money In No Money Out Records. With a total length of just under 26 minutes, the eight-track project features contributions from Icewear Vezzo, Mozzy, Blac Youngsta, Wale, and the late and great Nipsey Hussle.
