Shygirl and FKA twigs team up for “papi bones”

Even as she continues to endure hardships, FKA Twigs continues to release videos for her latest project CAPRISONGS. On Tuesday (April 14), she released her latest single for “papi bones,” a collaboration with Shygirl, which was produced by Fakeguido, El Guincho, Jonny Coofer, and twigs herself. We’re inching towards summer, and this infectious track is perfect for the dance floor:

Aidan Zamiri directed the video, in which FKA twigs does some sensual moves on a motorbike while riding through a living room. Black-and-white sequences of raves are interspersed throughout the clip. In a different room, Shygirl dances while an older woman reads to children behind her. She matches the Burberry aesthetic of her peers. At the end of the clip, two women are seen taking a walk with what appears to be goats in strollers, as another larger one flanks them.

CAPRISONGS was released back in January, completing with 17 tracks from a host of artists including Unknown T, and The Weeknd, Jorja Smith, Pa Salieu, Daniel Caesar, Rema, more. As a debut mixtape, the latest official LP from FKA Twigs, MAGDALENE, came out in 2019. The project also saw Future debut a solo track. Magdalene was not only critically acclaimed, but also reached the number one spot on Electronic Albums chart/Billboard’s Top Dance.
