A few months back, EARTHGANG released their latest album, GHETTO GODS, which included 17 tracks and unique collaborations with Future, J. Cole, Nick Cannon, JID, Baby Tate, CeeLo Green, Ari Lennox, and Musiq Soulchild, the last of whom plays a prominent role on the standout track “AMEN.” The track was produced by Nami, Nicki Jupiter, TBHits, and EARTHGANG‘s own Olu, better known as Johnny Venus, “AMEN” heralds the return of Musiq’s classic hit “Just Friends” as it asks their respective lovers for commitment:

In continuation of previous “episodes” (“STRONG FRIENDS,” “BILLI,” and “AMERICAN HORROR STORY”), ‘AMEN’s” accompanying video sticks to a fairly simple concept: EARTHGANG and Musiq perform with a choir in a room, a reference to the song’s title. In this program, the artists perform with a band while a screen displays images of the heavens and skies behind them.

Following the release of Mirrorland in 2019, GHETTTO GODS is EARTHGANG’s third album and first for Interscope and Dreamville. The project’s 14 songs featured contributions from Young Thug, Kehlani, T-Pain, Malik, and Arin Ray, and was the most successful project of its kind to date. Recently, they joined their compatriots from the Dreamville Festival held in Raleigh, North Carolina and the Dreamville crew for both the Gangsta Grillz D-Day mixtape.
