Despite his current situation, Pooh Shiesty does not intend to stop moving forward. As he sat behind bars, Memphis’ “Federal Contraband” rapper released a five-minute freestyle via the TP808 label entitled “Reflecting on My Troubles.” During the performance, he spoke to supporters and detractors alike via an unreleased phone recording:

Having made notable appearances alongside rapper Gucci Mane last year, Pooh Shiesty has become a top player in the New 1017 race this year via Shiesty Season, a 17-track LP that also featured Gucci, BIG30, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Tay Keith, Foogiano, et cetera. Six months later, Shiesty Season was upgraded with a Spring Deluxe edition, which included collaborations with G Herbo and Lil Baby. All told, the album, titled “Back In Blood”, landed the rapper a top ten spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to the sale of 62,000 album equivalent units during its first week of release, certifying it for Gold.

Pooh Shiesty soon found himself in trouble after he was arrested for a shooting. Although he is incarcerated, he continues to update his fans and has made a commitment to quit lean in one particular update.
