Rod Wave released his third studio album SoulFly earlier this year, featuring 19 tracks including a single feature from Polo G. The album was also led by the celebrated tracks “Tombstone” and “Street Runner.” SoulFly contributed to the Florida star’s position as one of hip hop’s current favorites, making him the first artist to land a number one on the Billboard 200 chart after selling 130,000 album equivalent units in its first week.

After releasing a new single today (August 20) titled “Time Heals” the Rod Wave is releasing a deluxe edition of SoulFly, which includes nine additional tracks as well as contributions from Kodak Black and Lil Durk on “Get Ready” and “Already Won,” respectively. Among other emotionally charged subjects, “2019,” produced by Will-A-Fool, sees him reflecting on a past relationship:

Rod Wave’s SoulFly follows last year’s Pray 4 Love, the album that peaked at number two on the chart and was later upgraded to a deluxe edition. 2020 also saw him and Polo G joining NLE Choppa, Chika, Fivio Foreign, Lil Tjay, Baby Keem, Lil Keed, Calboy, Jack Harlow, Latto, and 24kGoldn made up the XXL Freshman class of 2010, which many consider to be the best group from the magazine’s annual series.
