WizKid releases new video for “True Love” featuring Tay Iwar and Projexx
The Nigerian musician released his fourth studio album, Made In Lagos, in 2020, which contained 14 tracks produced by artists such as Skepta, Burna Boy, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Damian Marley, and Tems, with whom he collaborated on the breakout hit, “Essence.” Following its success and a series of chart positions, certifications, and accolades, the Nigerian singer has released a deluxe edition of Made In Lagos, which includes an expanded version of “Essence,” featuring Justin Bieber.
In light of today’s (March 29) song release, WizKid has decided to revisit the original release of ‘True Love’ to unwrap the video for the track. Tay Iwar, WizKid, and Projexx are all featured in the video, and they describe their relationship:
With regards to the accompanying video for WizKid’s Juls-produced single, Nabil Elderkin directed it and portrays the artist in a futuristic environment. While running through the track, he can be seen performing from a rock formation that rises out of the center, with dancing women circling him. The roughly four-minute video does not include Tay Iwar nor Projexx, but a certain model does appear, Winnie Harlow, with whom WizKid eventually reunites for their supposed relationship on the “naturally made” platform.
